June 12, 2017 - This wine aged so beautifully I am mad I opened it! LOL Rich dark plum, dusted cocoa, blueberry pie filling, dusty leather all present. For an 11 year old syrah, this had so much life it could have easily rested another 5-8 years! I want more!
May 25, 2015 - You know how sometimes you get mad you opened a bottle? Not because it wasn't good but because it was SO good that you wish you had it back. Well I am glad I have one more of these! This wine was stunning! It had evolved into an amazing expression of central coast syrah. Exactly what it should be!. Dark rich deep fruit, blueberry pie filling, plums dipped in chocolate. a dust of cocoa powder. sweet soft tannins that held this beauty together for quite some time. It it absolutely drinking as well as I believe it will. As a lover of Syrah, especially with some age on it, this small production gem was excellent!
November 25, 2012 - Peaking. Abundant red fruit on the nose and palate, some white pepper. Drink now though.
December 4, 2011 - Drinking beautifully right now.
September 4, 2011 - Dark purple color. Big nose at first of dark fruit, black pepper and a lot of oak but it eventually mellowed out a bit as it opened up. Not overly complex but hits all the right points for a Cali syrah. Dark black/blue fruit, pepper, a little smoke and some vanilla oak flavors on the back end. Strong acid keeps it interesting though. Nice syrah but not a good qpr at the price I paid.
February 24, 2011 - Spoiled.
February 14, 2011 - Spoiled.
January 10, 2010 - Afternoon at The Winery Collective (Winery Collective - San Francisco): Full bodied nose of candied plums and cherry. Had a distinct hazelnut and mocha component to the wine…and overall was very dense.
June 15, 2008 - a nice syrah but I think for the price there are better
March 18, 2008 - Family Winemakers of California (Pasadena, CA): Candied notes of blue fruits and vanilla with some pink peppercorns on the finish.
