Community Tasting Notes 1

December 24, 2010 - Decanted 3 hours prior to drinking.
It took several hours for the nose to come around, and then it opened into wonderful caramel, roses, dried cherries, leathery notes. A beautiful nose.
Quite delicious with dried cherries and caramel. The tannins were seemless although the acidity was a touch too high. Very long finish.
Interestingly enough, this was only 10 years old, but it smelled and tasted like a 25+ year old Barolo. A well aged and delicious 25 year old Barolo. Clearly not made to be aged. To the one other person on CT that has a bottle of this, I would drink it soon, and remember to decant.
