August 19, 2023 - Wonderful earth and fruit nose. Lots of good acid and tannin still present. Delicous burgundy with some age

October 9, 2020 - Bright berry red in color. Lovely lavender and berry nose. Rich, round red fruits on the palate. Cherries and anise. Polished tannins, great acidity and balance. Finishes long with dusty tannins and cherries. Got even better with food and air. Lovely.

March 8, 2014 - Over a lovely lamb shoulder at W's. Bright red, lovely colour. On the nose, this was a Francois Lamarche signature. Spicy, rich, intense and ripe. I loved the nose. On the palate, it took time to develop. Ripe cherries and plums, hint of mandarin orange. Finish was decent, nothing too complex, but very enjoyable.

December 30, 2012 - This is a bit of disappointment after a wonderful La Grande Rue 2006 two days ago. Obviously in completely different leagues. Good nose. Notes of red cherry, raspberry, strawberry with hints of oak. Initially it seems to be a bit thin and "mature" for a young Burgundy, soft tannins. Higher acidity than La Grande Rue, not as balance overall. It puts on more weight over the 2 hours meal but still with elevated acidity level. Will give this a miss. 90-91 pts.
