December 6, 2021 - Well integrated, still with ripe dark fruit, silky texture, nuanced dried floral aromas. Lovely and could still hold for at least 3-5 more years.

December 2, 2021 - A Good Wednesday, Burgs: '96, Roulot, '98 Millot, '05 Laurent, '06 Prieur, '13 Le Moine; 12/1/2021-12/3/2021: Really sappy, and a bit of shiny dark fruit. Deeper. Doesn't really seem like '06.Still a good bit of structure. This really opened up with air and could have used some time in the decanter. A tad bit of oak. Could stand years.

November 18, 2018 - Vinetasters: Clos Vougeot (Skokie, IL): Served double blind. There seems to be a thickness to this wine here on the nose. Lots of density and black fruit here, and missing some of the earthy nuances. The earthiness seems to pop up more on the palate, but the complexity isn’t quite there. If anything, there’s a slight sense that this is a little watery on the palate, despite the big structure. Feels a bit clumsy and alcoholic. Oak pokes through a bit, too. My 10th, group's 6th.

March 23, 2018 - Decanted and drank. Still a lot of life in this wine. Good rich fruit, some grip left in the tannins, which eased with time in the glass. Opened into a really tasty, rich wine. Drinking nicely and likely to improve with a few more years in bottle.
