February 26, 2019 - Mixed French Wines (Irene's): There is some light red fruit that is overwhelmed by puckery tannins.

February 23, 2019 - Mixed French Wines at Irene's (Irene's House, St. Paul): Medium dark red color. PNP, small pour. Cigarette tobacco on the nose, red raspberry, spicy, pipe tobacco. The palate is spicy, dark red cherry, pipe tobacco, grippy tannins, unripe tannins.

August 12, 2016 - Drank over two days. Medium almost light bodied. Very pleasant wine. Pepper. Bit of Bing cherry. Some straw? Raspberries. Went great with charcuterie and roast chicken. I really liked this wine.

December 2, 2015 - Pale/medium garnet/mahogany, wide pale rim. Aromatic nose showing red cherries, game and liquorice, touch of undergrowth. Occasional slight whiff of white pepper but nothing more and does not detract. Light/medium bodied, attractive liquorice red fruits, autumnal hints, savoury notes, soft tannins giving an attractive mouthfeel, good length, harmonious liquoricey red fruit finish. Very good indeed and excellent in the context of the vintage. Drinking now but no particular hurry - to at least 2020ish,
