October 21, 2022 - Amazing how long these last. Tannins almost fully integrated. Almost syrah like. zero tertiary flavors, still jammed full if bug dark fruit. Saving my last bottle for 10 yrs to see if it can last!

December 6, 2015 - kind of lost track of this wine and thought I would open it with some lamb chops since I was the only one partaking. Figured if it was way past prime I could just dump it.
Well, it isn't past its prime at all.
Big earthy nose of forest and minerals.
Still bright with smooth tannins. Currant, dark fruit and a touch of licorice. Good medium finish.
On the other hand, there is not a lot of complexity but it is 20. 00 wine after all.
This wine is still going strong and I honestly think it could still have a good life ahead of it.
    Really a great value.

February 22, 2012 - Brown Bag Wine Dinner at Two Chefs-III(Double Blind); 2/21/2012-2/22/2012: - Violet color with medium forming legs. It's somewhat balanced with a medium/full body. Linear texture with a medium finish - Alvaro's wine. Obviously Spanish, either Priorat or Toro. I mistakenly thought Grenache.
