May 12, 2021 - Dark ruby centre, red rim. Surprisingly little nose. Smooth, savoury, tannic mouthful. Lingering finish - can’t catch the flavour, not quite marmite but something savoury and stony. Frustrating to be unable to describe it, Lean and enjoyable.

December 26, 2020 - I was a bit sceptical about this. A notoriously bad vintage at 13 years. But it’s surprisingly good. Light obviously but plenty of fresh red fruit. Cranberries perhaps. And I nice fragrance with some vanilla oak. It almost tastes like burgundy. Very drinkable with leftover roast beast. Someone did a great job sorting fruit that year. It is fading a bit so would recommend drinking up.

February 20, 2020 - Black currant, graphite, cedar, slightly herbacious. Some development. Shows rather well now, given the vintage, lacking some power in the mid-palate, but rather enticing on the nose. A bit drying and short finish, but still I find it a pleasant surprise.
Can't see much need to keep this one for much longer, worked very well with game.

January 11, 2020 - Tasted at the Three Borders Wine Group annual dinner, Hampshire, UK. Served to accompany main course. Opened 90 minutes before drinking. This Margaux was very popular with the whole group and seemed to be at perfect maturity now. Deep purple colour, slight cloudiness. Orangey nose, some earthiness. Smooth palate, well balanced, rich and and quite long. Drink now, this is not a vintage to keep for the long term.

November 2, 2019 - Black centre, red rim, but losing it's brilliance. Lean, mineral, savoury. Classic d'Angludet. No sign of thinning on the finish, but can't see this improving. On a steady plateau of excellence.

December 8, 2018 - Last and best of six bottles. Everything has come together to deliver a smooth, complex wine - not the longest, but very enjoyable.
WS Cellar Plan with a conservative drinking window., especially as wines were stored in their purpose built cellars for the first 8 years
Once again, wish I'd drunk all my bottles two years later than I did - lesson learnt.

June 7, 2018 - This was surprisingly green, mint and tart on opening, but showing its pedigree after 40 mins in the glass. Much fuller (more full?) than previous tastings, and showing the complexity/length I'd expect at this price. I'll probably drink my last two bottles fairly soon.

June 8, 2017 - Tasted at the Three Borders Wine Group, Hampshire, UK - tasting of Bordeaux wines - the first of two reds from the 2007 vintage. Chateau d'Angludet (it changed its name to Chateau Angludet in 2008) is a great favourite of mine and this was delicious. Opened and decanted 2 hours before tasting. Dark Burgundian colour. The nose shows jam with dusty cinnamon. In the mouth, it's dry, fresh, smooth and savoury. Good length with a dark chocolate finish. This is definitely a wine which needs food. Drinking perfectly now.

May 22, 2017 - Drinking perfectly now. Dark crimson colour, a deep liquorice nose, lovely earthy taste, held well in the glass for several hours.
