December 7, 2010 - Big and tight. Been decanting an hour now and still needs time. Rich tannin, cherry, smoke, earth, cigar, spice, dark chocolate on the palate. Short finish

March 28, 2010 - Agree with last two notes - has stayed strong maybe revealing a bit more fruit and fairly complex with smooth mouth feel; short finish. 91+

March 21, 2010 - Wife - "I would drink that every nignt. " That is high praise. This was well integrated. Black cherry with firm well integrated tannins. Wonderful nose. This went fantastic with grilled rib-eyes. Nice acidity with the food. Great fruit to sip on its own. Clearly, one of thsoe bottles that I wish would never end, or that I had more of.

January 24, 2010 - This is the only truly well-integrated wine in the lineup, with spice, fruit and tannin all in harmony.

January 7, 2010 - Dark rich garnet color with consistent gradient to edge. Hints of smoke and dark cherry in the smell. Nice mixture of dark cherry and berries on the forefront of taste. I get hints of cocoa at the end. It is not overly tannic but firm. Opened and drank right after pour through Rabbit aerator. Love this wine.

Tasted August 15, 2009 at the winery.

Dark garnet to purple color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of thistle, smoke, black cherries and black berries. Flavors of black cherries and black berries. Medium acidity, medium to firm tannins, medium to full bodied. Drink over the medium term with a little air time to start.
