  June 4, 2015 - Vegetal and fungal aromas on first opening with tastes of prune and cocoa. After a 2 hour decant the wine opened up beautifully, with aromas of cassis, vanilla, and prune. Tastes still of prune and cocoa. The tannins had softened a bit, and the wine was extremely well balanced. COuld have benefited from a bit more time in the dacantur, but I think this wine is at it's peak. Fantastic!

  March 21, 2015 - A vibrant fresh Syrah. Nose initially had so much white pepper it was off putting, but this calmed down. Palate was a little angular without food, but with was elegant and expressive, and cut through a fatty burger with ease. Lengthy stony finish with repeating meat and pepper notes. Not the fruit bomb I was expecting, and that's a good thing.
