October 5, 2014 - Nice acid but fruit has dropped off. Past prime.
February 2, 2013 - Probably at it's peak. Lovely wine.
April 16, 2011 - Saturdays at One - Volume 44: WIML89
Tasted non blind.
Dark garnet to purple color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of currants, boysenberry, black cherries and black berries. Flavors of black berries, plums and boysenberries. Medium acidity, medium tannins, medium body. Drink now with some air or perhaps over the 3-7+/- year range.
December 18, 2010 - Wine and Cheese Pairing (Farpointe Cellar): Graphite and grilled meat greet the nose on the first whiff. Black fruit follows, with herbs de provence at the end. Upon entry, dark, spicy fruit fills the palate. The mid-palate has sweet tannins and pencil lead, and the finish was nice and meaty.
December 14, 2010 - Aromatically very interesting with a big floral component, red and blue fruit, and a touch of vanilla. Great balance with tannins carrying the fruit to a nice long finish with juicy acid. Wine improves with decanting and time, as well as warming for a while out of the cellar and approaching room temperature. Very well done.
November 11, 2010 - First night a little closed. Second night just exploded with wonderful red and blue fruit, but especially floral qualities. So well balanced. Maybe because equal parts Cab Franc, Cab Sauvignon and Merlot. Tannins frame the fruit, and the acids give a pleasingly long finish. Loved this wine.
November 1, 2010 - Drinking well now. Not sure it will get much better. Solid Red Mountain Blend.
September 27, 2010 - Nice wine. Didn't take notes last night but I recall this being outstanding. The finish was very long and memorably nice.
Would buy again. QPR was very good. Shows what this vineyard is capable of.
July 7, 2010 - Lots of berries a bit of chocolate on the finish.
April 29, 2009 - jammy, tons of berries
