December 24, 2016 - Chocolate covered cherries, licorice, dark spice, rose petals and violets. Unbelievably smooth and soft, this extremely young wine is just entering prime time and will provide several decades of drinking pleasure. Fantastic stuff.

December 14, 2016 - Luscious, rounded, complex. Chocolate, plums and berries. Excellent wine -- will last for many more years, but great right now.

September 3, 2016 - Great wine. Clear dark purple in colour. Clean nose of black fruit, vanilla, and violet. med+ body, lots of depth, great black cassis, violet, and liquorice on palate. Very nice wine.

October 19, 2015 - A private tasting (Jan-Dirk Taams' residence, Groot-Ammers, Netherlands): Stalky and difficult nose, cocoa and violets; rather dry on the palate, seems to lack the power and ripe fruit I was expecting; liquorice finish, lacks some length. We will have to wait a long time for this one and the waiting may well be in vain.
