June 1, 2013 - Some of the fruit has fallen away, leaving the not quite resolved tannin and a little alcoholic heat poking out. Still, a nice version of CA Grenache, but on the downslope I feel - theres not a lot of interesting secondary development going on. FWIW, half and half with an '08 Bratcher Syrah yields a delicious approximation of a quality Gigondas.

December 27, 2009 - Nice, French styled grenache with pepper and garrigue. A very nice Cali effort and good QPR as usual from the Novy label.

November 9, 2009 - Trip to Napa/Sonoma; 11/7/2009-11/14/2009 (Napa/Sonoma): Fine mineral nose. pleasant acidity, with cherry and currant palate, with a little grip on the back end. Medium to short finish. Never terrible complex.
