  October 19, 2011 - I thought this may have gotten past its prime when I pulled out of my cellar. I was delighted to see it was anything but! It still had a great dark fruit character and a slight spiciness to it. The wine opened up well over the course of an hour. A lovely bottle.

  September 12, 2011 - This was very good, but it may have either been closed up at the moment (even with a decanting) or it is past its prime. Not quite as full and rich as other Darioush merlots we have had. Alcohol was a bit too much on the forefront.

  September 14, 2006 - For a merlot, this has some bite. Typical merlot nose - but a more lively spicy palate with chocolate leading to a nice spicy mouthfeel. Slightly hot, should have laid down for longer, but I loved this at the winery and wanted to try it.
