February 27, 2010 - solid chardonnay, not too oaky

January 29, 2009 - At first quite tropical with butter, raw oak, and vanilla particularly on the nose. Very soft acidity with rich pear, toast, more vanilla, and spicy oak. Creamy finish with ripe pear and yellow apple. Rich and full bodied. After a few hours, I returned to find that the oak has integrated nicely, still rich and creamy, but with less raw oak element. Acidity is still a touch softer than desired, but overall very nice.
