December 14, 2016 - Decanted for twenty minutes, followed over ninety. With a meal. Excellent Cabernet; ninety minutes of air would have been optimum. Nicely balanced with some complexity; black fruit and cedar notes; very well-integrated tannins. A little sediment.

May 2, 2016 - This wine is drinking spectacularly right now - in a prime drinking window with probably 1-2 years to go before I would expect it to start significantly fading. Decanted about 90 minutes and I would say this wine needs at least 60-90 minutes of air. Soft mouth feel, full bodied and well rounded, the intensity and warmth of the mountain fruit comes through, very dark, pleasant long mouth feel and very well balanced but definitely softening tannins. Warm full nose of dark cherry, anise and pepper with classic Napa cab flavor profile of well balanced dark fruit, cassis and plum up front with a more earthy and smokey mid-late palate present. A great QPR wine at this point of maturation. Highly recommend this wine.2 people found this helpful Comment

January 17, 2015 - Had this with a NY strip steak after 45 minute decant. Spectacular. We have a lot of Napa Cabs from this era and this is the best we've had recently. Tracked down more bottles at a DC wine shop.

August 13, 2013 - Nose was a bit reticent but opened up over time. Age has definitely mellowed the fruit here and everything is nicely integrated, if maybe a bit thin on the mid-palate. Finish is surprisingly robust with tannins that are clearly present but not astringent. I wouldn't want to leave too much longer in the bottle (2 years?) but beautiful now.
