August 29, 2020 - Served this wine to accompany a Valencian Paella. Couldn't take notes but those in attendance enjoyed it.

April 9, 2013 - Medium ruby, black berry, cedar nose. Dry, cedar, berry, currant, tart tannins. Still a bit young, the last bottle I though was getting tired, this one has plenty of oomph to hang in there. I am going to blend with some jammy Mourvèdre which will improve each a couple of points. Once again proving a blend can be better than the sum of it's parts. Two 87s can produce a 89.

March 12, 2012 - Medium ruby, Kraft paper nose. Dry, tart berry, ripe cherry, stony tannins, medium body and fruit, bell pepper, tart tannins on the finish. Good food friendly wine. Some life left in this one.

March 21, 2011 - Not a special wine, but went well with pasta and meatballs and my homemade red sauce. Was much better than the last bottles we had last year.

February 3, 2011 - A great value for $9. Nothing too complex, just pure flavor. Cherry and earthiness. Meant for the short term with minimal tannins. ($9)
