Community Tasting Notes 58
August 28, 2014 - This wine was flawed.

July 3, 2014 - Very typical of Andrew Will wines. The fruit was bright and bursting with flavors of berries and plums. Similar to the Champoux blends, and actually would have guesses Champoux due to the Cab Franc and Pertit Verdot notes that that were very prominent even though the percentage is of those varietals is much less the Champoux. Overall one of the best AW's I have had, comparable to the 2003 and 2007 Champoux.2 people found this helpful Comments (2)
February 28, 2014 - Coffee, graphite, autumn leaves and forest fire. The dark plum and stewed berry fruit barely peeks through the massive structure. Very dry by almost port-like at the same time. This could turn out nicely in several years if it settles down, but right now it's completely shut down and paradoxically really over the top.2 people found this helpful Comment

February 27, 2014 - Rich, but soft and elegant fruit. Backed by spicy, chewy, tannins and good acidity. Very tasty and well balanced.2 people found this helpful Comment

January 11, 2014 - Right out of the bottle cedar, vegetal, menthol and herbal notes come through immediately on the nose, and are there on the palate too, and that's usually not a good sign for me. But, the taste profile is pretty expansive and enveloping - takes one by surprise really, which saves it a bit. Dry, pretty short finish though some complexity there.
Better on the 2nd day, where the fruit starts to show itself and it's still massively broad on the palate but also still so vegetal. Seems way overpriced to me - can't imagine picking up more of this unless it changes radically with a few more years. It strikes me as reasonably attractive if it were priced at $35 or a wine to try if one becomes jaded with Napa cabs and craves a bit of variety.1 person found this helpful Comment
