March 26, 2017 - Sorella is one of my favorite wines. This bottle was no exception. The bottle was double decanted and allowed to breath. The cork was in good shape but there was quite a bit of sediment in the bottle. It was rich, well integrated, mature and Bordeaux-like. It is drinking quite nicely now (with adequate time to open up) but I think it has a few more years for those who want to hang onto their bottles. .

December 19, 2016 - OTBN - Drycab: Typical Cabernet Sauvignon aromatics with graphite, tar & cedar. Good mouthfeel with proper acidity to balance this with food. An extremely long finish that just keeps on going on and on with dark cherry rounding out the flavors. Very excellent.
This kicks 2005 & 2006 Bordeaux butt, likely due to the higher percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend IMO.

November 6, 2016 - Not as good as last time. Granted, i did not decant this time. Seemed to have over-ripe fruit this time. Tart raspberries and orange peel. The earthiness and gun metal that i normally like from AW wines was gone and very little oak. Overall, the length, balance and tannins were enjoyable, but i had a hard time getting over the fruit bomb up front

March 19, 2016 - Wine is really singing, currants and berries burst out of the glass. Finishes with a hint of green pepper.

January 1, 2016 - This started out a little flat just P & P. A couple hours later it had opened and was rich and deep with a gorgeous earthiness and a hint of wet cardboard that, oddly, enhanced its flavor profile. But, after dinner, 9 hours open, it was beautiful. Dark, earthy, black fruit, forest floor and altogether vibrant. Long finish. No flaws.

(Andrew Will Winery Sorella Horse Heaven Hills) Dark purple color. Vanilla, light pencil shavings, and soft oak interweave with dark fruit aromas. Perfectly structured and beautifully balanced. Drinking extremely well for its age although additional bottle time or decanting will only make it better. 71% Cabernet; 17% Merlot; 8% Cab Franc; 4% Petit Verdot. 14.7% alcohol. 1326 cases produced. Sampled at 63 degrees.
