  November 27, 2017 - Having drunk this wine many times over the last eight years I am very pleased that is still is very enjoyable and pleasant. In the early years it struck me as being a big heavy fruit bomb but as the years have gone by the dept and strength of this wine has demonstrated that it can last. It is still dark although more garnet in color. A fine sediment is present and the wine is smooth with a deep plum fruit that overlays the complex earth and leather flavors. A ripe caramel sweetness is present but is not dominant. Still very enjoyable and nice to see how the wine has evolved.

  August 13, 2017 - Deep garnet in color with sweet fruity nose. Smooth ripe tannins, purple and black fruit with great complexity. Aging has helped removed the feeling that one is drinking a fruit bomb as the wine has become more unified in its presence. More balanced than the 2006 Boxer we enjoyed the same evening.
