January 14, 2015 - Still improving with age.
The concentration of ripe dark fruit, spice, liquorice and charred oak described in earlier notes has intensified but remains in perfect balance with its capsicum green spine.
Good length and real complexity emerging. Probably at its peak with structure for another 3 years at this level. Excellent.

October 19, 2014 - Continues to be just ok. Opened and drank over two days. I get a bit of spice, red fruits, and tea leaves (just at the end). It's drinking fine right now although it was better after it had had some time. Don't see this really evolving much so feel free to drink up.

October 14, 2014 - Perhaps not the best vintage I've had but still very good. Classic notes of black cherry, red plum, baking chocolate and vanilla. Medium bodied with a plush mouth-feel and clean finish.

September 4, 2014 - Perhaps it's one of those issues with misaligned expectations. We always hear great things about the Paloma, but it feels like just an ok wine to me. There's not a great level of complexity. It's not overly interesting. It's fine. Popped and poured. At the beginning alcohol was a bit overly dominant, but that is easing now. Wine is pretty smooth. Some nice fruit - mostly plum flavor. Don't get enough earthiness/pepper/grassy flavor for my palette, but it's an easy drinker on a weeknight.
