September 4, 2014 - Perhaps it's one of those issues with misaligned expectations. We always hear great things about the Paloma, but it feels like just an ok wine to me. There's not a great level of complexity. It's not overly interesting. It's fine. Popped and poured. At the beginning alcohol was a bit overly dominant, but that is easing now. Wine is pretty smooth. Some nice fruit - mostly plum flavor. Don't get enough earthiness/pepper/grassy flavor for my palette, but it's an easy drinker on a weeknight.

April 27, 2014 - Benefited from a second hour in decanter. Aroma of soft ripe dark fruit and smoke with a touch of tar. Flavour of concentrated almost sweet blackcurrant, liquorice and tar again bringing the wine into balance.
Much more integrated than my last bottle 8 months or so ago.
Just hitting its plateau with at least 3-4 years ahead at this level.
A fine wine indeed.

March 30, 2014 - Very nice soft violet nose. Soft red cherry fruit with subtle hints of black cherry on finish. Clean 20 second finish. Decent acidity with little tannic hints. Not up to my past Paloma experiences but very nice wine.

February 20, 2014 - Wonderful nose but it went downhill from there. Not a lot of structure and too jammy
