January 28, 2022 - I have reached the conclusion that Beckman wines just need time to shed the tannins and smooth out. This wine represents a perfect example as CT's life span said drink by 2014. No Way!. Still dark coloring with no bricking on the rim. Lots of black fruit, cassis along with some pencil lead and a touch of minerality. Well structured and probably would last a a few more years but ready to drink. Unfortunately, my only bottle so I can't test the longer aging theory but 15 years is a nice age for a Calif. cab.

January 11, 2014 - very solid wine. Nothing amazing, but just overall solid in all areas.

December 24, 2009 - While I have never thought Cabs from Central Coast or SB County were very good, this Beckman Purisma Mountain Cab is the exception. It does initially have a nose somewhat heavy on the alcohol, but it is a fruit-forward cab with some tannins, and a decent finish.

September 12, 2009 - Not a Beckmen favorite. A bit flat and short on the tongue.
