February 14, 2024 - From a magnum purchased at the winery, nose of black cherry, black berry, cassis and a hint of barnyard, the same on the palate, big body, mouth filling fruit, elegant and very tasty, lots of secondary and tertiary flavors, reminds me of Pomerol, and a long, long, long, flavorful finish and lovely aftertaste, 2 photos uploaded showing bottle sediment of 22 years in the cellar

November 26, 2023 - From a magnum purchased at the winery, nose of black cherry, black berry, cassis and plum, the same on the palate, big body, mouth filling fruit, elegant and very tasty, lots of secondary flavors, hints of Pomerol flavors, and a long, long flavorful finish and aftertaste. I was told the winery is ceasing Merlot varietal wine!

August 12, 2020 - From a 750 ml auction bottle, waited 7 years to enjoy this Merlot, nose of black cherry, dusty earth, and black berry tonight, same on the palate, medium/big body, mouth filling fruit, tasty, slightly past peak drinking at age 20 years but great to sip and savor with sharp cheddar cheese, long finish.

April 1, 2017 - From a magnum directly purchased from the winery, nose of black cherry, black berry, cassis and plum, the same on the palate, big body, mouth filling fruit, elegant and very tasty, paired with the left over Fleming Steak, at its peak, tasty from the first sip to the last sip two days later, gaining more secondary flavors now, and a long, long flavorful finish and aftertaste. The best Twomey Merlot ever!!!
