May 1, 2024 - A bottle opened and decanted for 3 hours. On pnp a taster already showed really great but it just blossomed with air and more temperature as Coche does. All the Coche goodies here, this lovely measured reduction, richness yet so much precision that in my opinion no other white wine maker does as well. Plus it's just consistently great. Terrific now, but should still be on the up for ~5 years from absolute pleasure peak. Drink now - 2045.
March 2, 2024 - Peaches, flint, some nutty notes. Nice weight, energy and viscosity. Still I wanted to like this more than I did.
June 8, 2023 - Gorgeous and classic Coche nose - good terroir, gunpowder and white flowers. Noth the intensity of the 2017 Lamy St Aubin HD. Despite it being a bit dilute tonight, it sneaks up on you...
March 28, 2023 - Very good coche but it certainly will get better with time. For the bottle today, it would have benefitted from a few hours of air before serving. 93-94
January 20, 2023 - Another great bottle, Coche did particularly well in this vintage imo. Similar to prior bottles….the nose is fireworks, and it drinks so racy
January 11, 2023 - Pure classic Coche at its best with vivid intensity, energy and depth. Enjoyed alongside a less flamboyant '06 Rougets which was more about subtly and nuance.
June 7, 2022 - Bottle breathing for 3 hours before serving. Signature Coche sensation with layers of grilled hazelnut, fireworks and gunflints fully backed by soaring acidity. It keeps getting better and better in the glass. The crowd prefers this over the 04 Rougeots.
September 15, 2021 - Fabulous... Very similar to two years ago explosive nose and clean crisp flavors but not lean (96-97)
February 17, 2021 - Corked... DOA .... sad last bottle was so good.
December 20, 2020 - Incredibly youthful. Some struck match along with the most pure white peach fruit. It is direct and dense, loaded with chalky dry extract. It is still very tight and linear and posseses fabulous length.
