    October 29, 2009 - Mature color, with very slight bricking at the rim, opaque throughout. Nose was slightly muted, with aromas of cedar and plum. Resolved tannins and tart cherry, cedar and smoke notes on the palate. Some vegetal flavors on the back end, and a slightly hollow mid-palate, but overall a fine example of a tough vintage. Plenty of time left to enjoy this wine.

    March 17, 2009 - Bright sweet strawberry & cherry fruit, med+ acid and very smooth tannins. I would never have guessed this wine was 10 years old, as the color was still intense and the fruit so bright. Easily has another 10 years to go, although its drinking deliciously now.

    June 22, 2008 - blind at tasting; 3+ hour decant; deep red color; very aromatic: coffee/mocha aspect, crème brûlée, indescribable dark fruits, milk chocolate; definite bell pepper component, serious paprika too. Very complex on the palate w/ an incredible finish: coffee, tobacco, maybe even an unripened tomato vegetal aspect; lots of pepper and paprika on the finish. Still tastes young; a hint of heat. Just love the complex finish. Unfortunately, given enough time in open air, this fell apart into a vegatal, sour beast. Considering it's age, I don't think it can handle too much air time. It's ten minutes of fame are bright though.

    May 25, 2006 - Garnet colored wine with small white rim. Nose of ripe red/black fruits, leather and earth. Flavors of red raspberry, blackberry, currant and oak. Well integrated tannins and lush finish.
