    May 28, 2021 - We have another bottle, but based on this one, I don't have high hopes - brackish, tannic blackberry liqueur with little finesse. Think these need to be opened sooner rather than later.

    November 3, 2019 - Pax is the Syrah master...what else can you say, no signs of age, ink black in the glass, explosive black fruit on the nose, the tannis are finning at this point but it’s all in balance.
    Drink now with serious air time, thru 2024.

    Tasted non blind at a wine dinner.

    Purple color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of roasted meat, currants, plums and black berries. Flavors of currants, plums and berries. Medium acidity, medium tannin, full bodied. Drink or hold.

    January 11, 2013 - Excellent syrah. Black fruit nose with smoked meat notes. The palate resonates the black fruit profile and meaty flavors combined with a strong olive profile. Super dark and briney. Tannins still provide texture but are calming a bit. I'll hold my next (last) bottle for 4 or 5 more years.

    November 16, 2010 - Just had a 07 Walker, which was more approachable at this stage. I love this wine, but needs more time and/or more decanting.
