November 2, 2014 - Crisp and mineral, almost like a Chablis but with more body and depth. Very, very correct and appropriate, with lots of fruit and a hint of floral character.

October 23, 2014 - Comte Georges de Vogüe and Domaine Bonneau du Martray tasted with Jean-Luc Pépin: Intense bouquet, rich, toasted hazelnuts, peach, greengage, a whiff of gunpowder. Incredibly poised and pure in its expression. Very attractive. Full bodied, viscous, a great mix of honeysuckle and exotic tropical yellow fruit. Long, nutty, glorious finish. Top tier Chardonnay. 95-96

October 20, 2014 - Less open and developed than the 2004 standing next to this.
Nose shows clean and fresh, with flowery soap perfume, white Corton Charlemagne typical flowers, lime and citrus peel, lemons, stones and minerals, deep and somewhat semi developed.
On the palate this is a little closed and tight, showing spicy fruit, lemons, yellow grape fruit, green apples, bright acidity and good length.
This will become even finer with more bottle age, as it needs time.
    Points given for tonight’s performance.

October 2, 2014 - Rather shy on the nose right now, but much more expressive on the palate with layers of fresh citrus, pear, and riper stone fruit flavours framed by faint vanilla butter and oaky elements, and sweeter floral notes that develop with time. Beneath is a vivid stony mineral base and a bright acid spine that keeps it very focused and precise, and it finishes with good length.

July 28, 2014 - Really fine and sleek without in any way being too sinewy.

(Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne) So fresh, like flowers on slate. The golden-plum aromas and lip-smacking finish remind me of spring. Truly delicious.
