    November 24, 2023 - Hatte 2 Flaschen. Die erste war enttäuschend. Quasi so ein No Go Erlebnis mit einer Flasche, die man aufgrund Beschreibung und Preis in ganz anderen Sphären erwartet. Um die 2. habe ich immer einen Bogen gemacht und heute nun geöffnet, ohne Erwartung. Deutlich besser, mit adäquater Farbe und sofortigem Feuer im Mund. Final aber dennoch irgendwie fehlerhaft, leichter Kork. Deutet für mich auf schlechte Kellerarbeit. 88 Punkte. Flasche 1 flawed or defective.
    Nach einem hervorragenden Pu Erh klar Letzter des Tages. Sowas…

    June 27, 2016 - During a tasting lunch. Very dark purple. Big, bold, ripe, bruising wine. Dark fruit smoky, full bodied. Freshness is ok but still much too heavy for my taste lacking elegance and drinkability.

    April 12, 2015 - Opened up over 2 hours. A very big wine - even for Rioja - strong scent of tobacco and hints of flint. Velvety on the tongue and long, smooth finish.

    November 19, 2014 - Silky. Elegant. Delicious aromas with hints of coffee. Medium body and very balanced. There is no excessive oak. Excellent.

    November 21, 2012 - Judgement of Six Fours, France vs. Spain. Blind tasting. Twelve tasters. Decanted 1 hour. Dark ink hue. Nose of a classic, silky tempranillo; extracted ripe fruits as blackberries with sap and caramel. Mouth globalized with an almost perfect balance between fruits, polished tannins, fat and acidity. Very efficient and superb quality. Lacking a bit of nobility to the profit of a big technological success. Drink or keep for a wide range of tasters.The third wine of the night with 15.6/20.

    November 16, 2012 - Blind tasted. Deep, dark nose & color. Strong alcohol and lacks personality on the palate. Chalky tannins, oak, lots of kirsch. Guessed a Ribera - this is a Rioja on steroids, way over the top and only for spirits drinkers!
