August 5, 2017 - Great, spicy red. No notes taken. Drinking very well right now. No reason to hold. I believe this is probably close to its peak drinking window but should have at least 5 years of life left.

May 27, 2017 - Un CHNP d'une belle qualité. L'assemblage Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre est parfait. On a en bouche des tannins soyeux, des épices, de la réglisse noir et des notes animals. À 35€ c'est une superbe bouteille.

    4/5

March 28, 2016 - - It's in total harmony with a medium/full body. Round texture with a medium finish - Very very fine cdp. Smooth, with nice fruit, hint of vanilla. No flaws.

November 27, 2015 - - Ruby color. It's unbalanced with a light/medium body. Angular texture with a short finish - I was disappointed. Popped and decanted for 90 min. It was very earthy and dry. Lots of tannins. Previous bottle was better. Maybe it's getting past its prime... Color was bright.

March 16, 2015 - Very nice CDP. Wish I had more. Sour cherry with meat and some provincial herbs on the palate.

May 5, 2014 - Soyeux. A son appogée. A encore sa puissance, mais sans accricher. Tanins onctueux. Arômes complexes. Pris chez les Jean-Do (2/3)

February 19, 2013 - Decent. Uncorked with ease - cork was pretty loose in the bottle. Not much of a stain and zero bleed. Wine was decanted naturally into a decanter for 30 minutes. Initial nose was dark, a little pungent with some straw, nitrogen, and overripe blackberry. After allowing to sit and air for a little, this one settled down. On the nose was still a fruit bomb by comparison, but there was an herbal component, jammy syrah fruit. On the palate was all blackberry for a split second, then turned "lighter" to a very dense jammy red fruit. Herbal notes dominated the middle. The finish was all ripe blackberry and some fig. Not a lot of tannin or oakiness but it was subtly there. A nice, balanced GSM blend indeed. This wine is barely ready to go now, and will improve over the next 10 years. This wine is sort of integrated now, but still has a lot of figuring out to do I think. With the lack of a dense backbone I'm not sure that this one will last 10 years. I think optimum drinking year for this one with minimal (or no) decanting is probably 2016-2017, but it is enjoyable now as long as you decant at least a little bit. Probably won't stand much past 2020.
