April 26, 2016 - Two visitors, three birthdays and seventeen wines from all over. (ABA Turkish Restaurant): From magnum and as Kool & the Gang would say, "she's fresh (fresh,) exciting!" No real sign of petrol in this bottle, but it's full of its typical lime character with plenty of stoney mineral and light peach notes. Beautiful balance and depth here with age having rounded the edges off the acid spine, giving it a friendlier mouthfeel. A-/A.

March 23, 2016 - Mid yellow in the glass. Attractive and slightly rich nose of peach, lime and hints of petrol and apricot. Lovely dense mouthfeel with clear freshness and minerality. Approaching maturity but with 10+ years in hand, this was not profound but at the same time hugely enjoyable ****-****1/2

December 16, 2015 - Ifune in NYC (Frankie & Johnnie's Steakhouse, NYC): Fantastic showing, with a complex bend of flavors, such as baked apple, lemon peel, petrol, minerals and baked peaches. Seeming round in the mouth with nice buffering sap, but the acids really mop up the richness. Very clean and precise with an enduring, lip-pursing, acidic bite. Fabulous.

May 25, 2015 - deep lemon yellow with hints of green tinges, lemon peel, hint of green apple, and wet stones, there is also a floral aroma dancing through it.Palate is dry with excellent acidity, long my only critisism would be that it could be a little bit more aromatic, in fact this wine is still young.

February 27, 2015 - 1990-themed dinner (The American Club): Served blind after the DP, and oh, this was so classy. Tell-tale notes of petrol pointed to aged Riesling, together with scents of herbs and very delicate (light) notes of tropical fruits. Bone dry on the palate, it had that stony minerality, bright acidity intermixed with notes of apples, a bit of nectarines which all glided across the palate so elegantly and weightlessly, which culminated in a finish not quite as long as the DP, but still very respectable. Great!
