November 25, 2021 - This Pinot demonstrated good fruit qualities with the finesse that age brings. Enjoyed with a Thanksgiving dinner that included all of the traditional favorites and some beef tenderloin. Overall a very good showing and very drinkable. Definitely not old though we will likely enjoy our last bottle in the next several months.

August 25, 2021 - Tasted alongside a 1996 Williams Selyem. This was sweeter, but not too sweet. It was preferred by everyone at this dinner. Really lovely Pinot.

June 20, 2020 - Nice blue fruits intermixed with violet and spices. Pretty lavish fruits on the palate, but remains focus and has the old world restraint, everyone thought this was a Burg. Nice acidity and depth, little dark chocolate and savory complexity. Drinking nicely today but can last.

April 25, 2020 - Medium red with brick edge, strong dark cherry nose immediate upon opening, medium weight, cherry and plum fruit, seems in balance, 30-40 second smooth finish. Decent wine served with grilled wild boar tenderloins.

July 14, 2019 - Beautiful Pinot; honey fruit, nose nose, long finish, great balance.

(Kistler Pinot Noir Kistler Vineyard) Group's #8 (my #8) – 130 pts.; 1, 0, 0, 5 - dark, slightly cloudy ruby color; porty, overripe, VA, baked cherry, stewed cherry, brown sugar nose; overripe, super rich, heavy, baked cherry, stewed cherry, sugary palate; so bound up it leads to a short, cliff finish
