Community Tasting Notes 2

October 11, 2011 - manonthemoon had it right - great black cherry and made for the long term. Having it over 2 years later, i would say that it is ready now - but no rush. The spice picked up - baking spices, with the comfort of warm blueberry initially. The wine is cherry on the nose, and black cherry on the finish. Chewy wine with almost no tannins. Another very good wine by Peter.

July 15, 2009 - Notes from day 2. Dark red to purple color. Nose of cherry, a little spice, not that much going on. On the palate there is black cherry, spice, a little chocolate, tannin but still kinda shy, will revisit tomorrow to see if this will finally show what its got. Much more of a feminine wine than most of Peter's and still pretty tight. Hold. On day three it has opened up more, especially in the nose with a little more dark fruit. On the palate more of the same, but a little more pronounced. Decent bottle, and seems to be made for the long term, would not touch for at least 3 years or more. 50+5+11+15+6
