Community Tasting Notes 1

May 12, 2012 - Magnificent blood orange / strawberry juice red. Delicate floral nose with notes of peach and strawberry. Found this one in the cellar and had no clue what we'd get. Surprisingly beautiful, elegant and delicate wine. Everything was rounded and soft and sweet. Still fairly fresh. First notes of orange and strawberry followed by red raspberries and strawberries. A tinge of acid (pineapple) and then a very quick finish. I doubt I'll ever have another 18 year old Tavel, but this was an unusual treat.
