May 5, 2017 - I popped and poured a small glass and it's a well balanced full body wine!!!!

After a one hour decanting I have come to realize that this wine is a well refined bottle of wine

There is no hint of the high alcohol of 16% at all!!

Did get this score correct, you just did need to decant it and only decanted my bottle one hours!!

Base on your tasting desires the length of your decanting time will vary but enjoy!

It's full body, perfumed, deep dark purple, sweet and no hint of any tannins...

April 21, 2017 - Drinks well right out of the bottle but improved with decanting. Lots of sediment so straining is a must. Menthol, anise, cherry cough syrup, rosemary, and vanilla extract. Even with a 4 hour decant it comes off as hot and tannic. Possibly needs time but will always be big and unrefined.

March 6, 2017 - Deep dark garnet in color with no signs of aging. Full, forward & fragrant nose of complex, ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with overtones of floral notes of lavender & earthy/dusty, dried herbs, ground pepper, minerals & a slight hint of oak & vanilla. Medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, complex, ripe fruit flavors of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with earthy, herbs, black pepper, minerals & a hint of oak & vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting and airing, but has the structure & fruit to continue further development with additional aging.

    February 18, 2017 - Drank in a 3-year vertical of '05, '06 & '07.
A few preferred the '07. It had a nice richness to it.
