May 4, 2024 - Regular dinner group (By JvT in Pommard, Burgundy.): Minerals, gun flint and oak in the expressive bouquet. Same on the palate, savory, fresh acidity, enormous length and elegance. Very beautiful wine which is fully mature now.

March 1, 2024 - Classic Coche with gunflint, smoked yellow fruit and grilled hazelnut. Palate was sharp and precise with soaring acidity. Drinking very well.

December 2, 2023 - Clean bottle with the appropriate degrees of development and age. Waxy lanolin character. Not sure how long these straight Meursaults are meant to hold on. Not browning at all but the 20+ years definitely show a little bit of waning energy. Ripe.

March 5, 2023 - There is much discussion about the wines of JF vs Raphael and I have to say that I am not convinced one is consistently better than the other. This wine was showing a lot of lees and was a bit cheesy. Still reductive these many years on. Showing more coche / wine making gymnastics than mersault terroir and lacking some of the more vibrant fruits of the current era.

December 29, 2021 - Coche oh Coche. How do they do it? Fresh as a daisy and initially served too cold lots of racy lemon fruit and razor sharp line. With air and temperature it got so typically “Coche” - beurre claire, nutty deep and saline. Just a perfect white Burg that was so fresh and young and should hold another 20-30 years easy based on this bottle. Coche is special.

July 9, 2021 - opened for 1 hour prior to serving. It slowly started to open up to show the classic toasty and popcorn nose, along with some lemon. Acidity was still pretty high and a little surprising, even though the palate was now more mature. Still got plenty of life left.

April 11, 2021 - Insanely good, redux but complex and felt aged but fresh and lively at the same time; great fruit, tangy long, soft entry and a super long massive finish. Great dept and concentration. Unbelievable village level from Coche. Guessed 2005. Wine of the night with stellar GC Burgs with DD at Crustacean.

November 1, 2020 - A clean example from the same case as the past two. Signature nose is reductive and showy with subtle smoke and booming yellow fruit. Mouthcoating and dense palate. Pleasant mineral drive a complete package here.

July 17, 2020 - A good example of this wine, have had a number show mediocre to poorly. Reductive signature. Complete rich flavours.

January 6, 2020 - Very nice, yet not up to the level it is supposed to belong. Lovely nose, but on the palate it lacks complexity and length, even in this stellar vintage. Falls short of expectations. Good to very good, but not great. I've had recently much more pleasure with a simple 2012 "Beaune Grèves" from Jadot.
