May 28, 2023 - Birthday Dinner (La Trompette): Served blind. Clearly a bdx blend, some American oak? Some menthol to it, and lovely vibrant acidity. A precision and a lightness of touch. Really lovely and most importantly was enjoyed by the birthday girl.

Served with fillet mignon, mushrooms, Brussels sprouts with lemon garlic sautéed.
October 22, 2020 - Popped and poured during dinner. Rather dark youthful appearance, perhaps just a bit lighter at the meniscus. This is really coming into its own and is very enjoyable now though is still a couple of years away from prime drinking I think. Bouquet of lavender, red plum, black fruit and something a little dusty/earthy and hints of cedar. Tannins are on the softer side of medium but not yet fully-integrated. Flavors of vanilla, cassis, currants and violet liqueur. Will try to hold our final two bottles until 2023+.
