April 24, 2015 - Pale/medium garnet core, pale garnet rim. Nose shows benchmark, pure red cherry fruit, touch of celery, notes of earth and game starting to emerge. Medium bodied, pure, slightly creamy red cherry fruit, perhaps not as exuberant as previously, more chiselled, with vibrant acidity and a touch of dusty tannin on the very good length finish. This remains excellent but is perhaps going through a slight "in between" phase.

March 10, 2015 - Fourrier gloss. Dark red fruit, silky smooth. Its usual lovely self. ***1/2

February 16, 2015 - A tale of two wines here. On the one hand, you have this wonderful, transparent, elegant but unmistakeable Fourrier Gevrey-Chambertin, but on the other hand you have the vintage signature. Unfortunately, the two inputs aren't totally compatible, and what you end up with is a nice bottle of Gevrey-Chambertin that's a little lean and acidic. This seems to be a vintage to drink now, I would advise pairing with a lighter meal... should still make for quite a nice evening.

January 25, 2015 - more evolved than last but still ways to go, very good structure and entering drinking window I think.

July 12, 2014 - Fourrier vs Rousseau: the Fourrier won this by a couple points, mainly for its combination of complexity, elegance, and medium-full bodied dark fruits. On opening, it didn't show much Gevrey character, but after 2-3 hours, it was classic GC spice nose with savory palate and silky texture which put on weight with air. Fun comparison and I wish I had more of these!
