August 19, 2022 - Smokey, mid palate tannins, end acid, nicely with French duck confit

January 1, 2022 - Very nice drop. Gave it 2hrs+ decant & needed all of that. I feel like it might be better with a few more years in the bottle? I’ve drunk plenty of amazing bin 28 at 20yrs+ age. Maybe this could be one too?

November 28, 2021 - An old favourite. Dark colour (the capsule is totally stained). Dark berries soy and boot polish. A little bit of undergrowth. Dark intense fruit with tannin quite assertive from the get go. Some secondary characters of tobacco and Old Gold dark chocolate. Nice Bin 28 groove. Old school. Good effort

April 10, 2021 - Very light on in development of any real aged notes.
While not disappointed it did not deliver for 14 years in the cellar.
Not holding out for the next bottle.

March 29, 2020 - Had 2 bottles last night of this wine. I like it a lot. Dark fruit. Typical Penfolds. Open up very well. Not too full bodied. No rush yet to drink. Its on a nice plateau.

April 5, 2019 - Good wine though lacking a little in the 'interest' area for me.

January 11, 2019 - Dark chocolate, cherry and plum flavours. Balanced oak and not sweet. Full flavour and delicious.

September 17, 2016 - Pretty disappointing. Lots of tannin and not much else going on here. Some dark fruit on the nose, but pretty simple. Can't see this getting any better. Probably on the downward slope. Clearly a wine from an inferior vintage.
