December 22, 2016 - Overall, as expected for this - which is to say, quite good. After all, it's a 19 years old already! Good dark color with almost no bricking. Great balance between acidity and tannin. Very herbal, with minimal discernible fruit remaining. Nice and smooth finish that lingers with a bit of licorice and menthol. Heavy sediment throughout. This got better through dinner, and some vanilla, cassis, and black fruits appeared towards the end. A reasonable bottle if you like old and aged, but this is starting to pass its peak. Drink up...

December 10, 2016 - Drink them if you got them. Well past its prime.

October 26, 2016 - I've been a little disappointed with the older Viader wines. Showing its age in the flavors. Fruit is a bit dried out & the Cab Franc weedy element seems to have taken over. OK but not great.

April 17, 2016 - Very slight port wine aftertaste on a well kept bottle makes me wonder how much longer this vintage can hold up. Color was good, but not much left on the nose. Advise to drink now.
