May 7, 2021 - Last bottle, bought from Charlie Strunk from WCoW. On a closeout, that I sold him. Screwcap.
Really good still. Rich, fruit taking up lots of the view. But very fun to drink right away. Wild melon. Nice complexity to the palate and a sweet maturity. Light spice, ala some barrel, but prolly just the Rhone-ish quality about this.
Day 5 and extremely surprising. Started to get Cheerio and mature on days 2 and three and here straightens out, gets taught and spice. Crisper, clearer, fresher. Feels like it has another 5 years or more ahead of it. savory and spiced melon underlay. -

March 15, 2016 - Almond and mineral aromas still well intact. Fresh nut, not oxidized nut palate. Very food friendly acid, med/+. Ice-y. Still another couple years, or even a 'golden years' moment on the horizon.
Day 5 much brinier aromas today. dry butterscotch. wow, really silky palate today. loads of complexity. yes, icy notes on the palate, but silky as f*** today. No rush on that last bottle. -

December 1, 2014 - Mature apricot, wooly, dry apricot. Just oh so slightly almondine, but not ox'd. Hazelnut cream palate, but still big and edgy. Although only medium acid.

June 23, 2014 - Mourvèdre Monday (Extra Space): Tasted blind. Slow-oxed in bottle over 2 hours.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, pronounced intensity, with aromas of intense nutty buttery toasted oak. Initially some petroleum notes which blew off. Also developed a distinct coconut aroma. Developing.
On the palate, dry, medium- acidity, high alcohol (14.6%), full body. Medium+ flavor intensity, with flavours of nutty buttery toasted oak, coconut, honey, ripe apricots, cantaloupe, minerality, and bit of spice. Mouth-feel a little oily and on hindsight - like beeswax. Long finish.
Complex wine with a bit of everything, but my gripe is too much alcohol.
Very good quality. Can drink now, and suitable for further ageing 3-5 years.
64% Roussanne and 36% Grenache Blanc. -

June 1, 2013 - Amazingly youthful, and wonderful. Aged Roussanne is a well made thing. Many years left in this gem.
