February 15, 2024 - Nose: 90; Palate: 90
My #3; Group's #2; Tasted Blind.
August 27, 2023 - Medium garnet colour. Dark fruit, plum, garrigue, graphite, and smoke, with medium-level acidity, partly resolved tannin, and very good length. The alcohol was warming and the tannin quite rustic at first, but integrated better with time. Good concentration and complexity. Very mineral. Bold in many ways, but also essentially CdP, and the wine kept improving as time passed, smoothed out after about an hour, and the last glass drank best.
August 4, 2021 - Too old. Tried, but down the drain.
July 14, 2021 - Velvety palate with integrated fruit and sandel tree notes with a just enough acidity to make it fresh. Perfect drinking window right now.
June 15, 2021 - off; maybe corked
October 26, 2020 - Nice mature CDP. Settled down a lot since my note in 2018. I noted that it was quite sweet in 2018. Has evolved and is in balance now. Good fruit, no heat. Short decant which I would recommend as the wine threw some sediment. My only negative comment is that the fruit seems to be fading a bit so may not benefit form further cellaring. The drinking window appears to be accurate.
March 1, 2019 - Pop and pour. Really good showing on this bottle with funky barnyard nose, intense, rustic body of rare beef and grilled bread. A delicious drink if you like this robust style.
March 1, 2019 - Like a liquefied grenach pudding, plush silk long lingering licorice. Extremely juicy and vital.
February 2, 2019 - Beautiful, big, red. Still a little tight for a CDP; will definitely last some years.
January 1, 2019 - Bright kirsch,
Starting to open up with an hour decant
