March 15, 2024 - Made from single varietal of Syrah sourced from three different plots of l’Ermite, Le Sabot and Les Bessards. Aged in oak for 16 months. Medium+ ruby colour with bricking rim. Intense complex and perfumed aroma of cherries, dried roses, incense, spices, leather, hint of sweet tobacco. Medium+ body, lean texture, still in great shape, fruity and vibrant, earthy and smoky red fruit flavours, saline notes, vibrant high acidity, melting medium tannins. Started blossoming after an hour in decanter.

October 13, 2023 - Oddbods Committee Tasting; 10/12/2023-10/13/2023 (New Inn Colchester): A very cool Syrah, classy and restrained. Complex but not showy. It was decanted for 4 hours, so plenty of time left.

August 28, 2022 - This seems more like a Southern Rhone than a Northern one. Big and bold, with anise. I will try again in the winter, maybe it suffered with the summer weather, although we are on the North shore of Minnesota, 70's.

Quel beau RQP, encore une fois sur 2004.
C’est suave et pas mal à point. Cerises
prunes et anis avec une belle acidité et une finale salivante, rien n’accroche, quel beau vin!
