December 17, 2011 - Still very herbal and grassy - too much so.

June 7, 2010 - Food friendly, slightly pink look. Easy to sip on a hot summer day. I'll miss this vintage.

December 1, 2009 - Light golden color with a barely perceptible hint of pink. Obvious grapefruit and some grasiness on the nose. Crisp and clean with citrus notes, predominantly grapefruit, on the palate. Something about the finsih leaves me wanting though, I can't put my finger on it.

New York Cork Report

  • By Lenn Thompson
    6/10/2009 (link) 2.5 out of 5 stars

(Shinn Estate Vineyards Coalescence North Fork Long Island) This bottle showed a little stinky sulphur when first opened, but that quickly dissipated with zesty citrus, melon, white cherry and subtle her aromas emerging. Medium-light in body, the flavors very closely match the nose, maybe with a bit more melon and the addition of a lightly floral note. The acidity is fresh and citrusy. The finish crisp, inviting another sip, but pretty short. For $14 (and you can probably find it for $12 at some local shops), it's a nice value for every day drinking or if you want to serve local wine at your next summer party.
