May 3, 2020 - past peak - but drinkable. decant to avoid sediment but don't let it sit for hours on end, it is at the end of its joyful-window

November 17, 2017 - Decanted for 2 hours. First bottle out of a closed case - provenance very good for the wine. It was outstanding - showing no signs of age. Body and structure, along with deep ruby color, were very good. Wine was perfumy to the nose. Can't wait to drink the remaining 5 bottles.
The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle.

February 5, 2013 - Pnp w/ 45 min decant. Clear w/some very minor sediments. Med dark ruby red color. Decent/thin nose. Wine drank fine but nothing special. Everyday drinker, light finish, good window, nothing off. $30

August 29, 2012 - I probably paid to much for this at $30 but it was still a fine Tuscan food wine. Medium body and finish, strong acidity. Earthy, cherry-stewed prune, meaty tones. Medium-long finish. Not ponderous but mellow.

August 30, 2009 - In the glass this was a deep plum/violet at the core with a slight bit of sediment in the glass after decanting. Scents of lead pencil, leather, dark fruits, and a faint hint of violets on the nose. In the mouth the tannins are soft and well integrated with just enough acidity and a nice core of red and dark fruits that linger in the short-medium finish. This is VERY easy to drink and enjoy and might be a nice introduction to Tuscany for someone who is mostly interested in American wines.
