January 6, 2019 - The bottom half of the cork disintegrated open opening but was able to strain out the particles. A bit on the ripe side for me.

January 6, 2018 - J'attendais ce vin depuis plus de 6 ans et n'ai pas été déçu du tout. Ce vin avait tout ce qu'on attend d'un grand toscan de 10 ans+ d'un si beau millésime (fruit, acidité, tannins).

April 29, 2016 - Tuscany 2006 Ten years after. (@ SvdV): This wine has a very tempting bouquet with some pleasant barnyard, red and dark forest fruits, a lot of sweet spices and beautiful oak. The bouquet shows some development. On the palate the red and black berry fruits are still creamy and round, but also completely ready. Sweet spices like cinnamon, chocolate and good fresh acidity. Soft tannin and very well balanced. This is a beauty and at its peak now and the next few years. I score the wine considerably higher than the CT average.

April 10, 2016 - Nose dark fruit and much softer in the glass than expected. Long dark finish. Surprisingly good on PnP. Went well with lamb shanks. Really nice. Tipping into netherworld of drink now, but could hold out.

November 4, 2015 - A good example of Costal Tuscan cabernet. Dark rich fruit with moderate acidity and a smooth finish. Very impressed with this wine considering many of the reviews.

August 2, 2015 - Drank the first of two bottles I have. Not familiar with the wine prior. It was ok. Lots of fruit on the front-end. Seemed like more than 10% Cab Franc. The back-end left a lot to be desired and didn't match the fruit on the nose or front end. It was "bitey" and short on the finish. Overall good match with the steak we grilled. Expected more overall. It is aging fine.

May 25, 2014 - Will reserve scoring for a second bottle as I think this bottle was corked and it got worse with time.

April 6, 2014 - We just can't find the Italian reds we had when we were there. Good though not the great we had.

December 15, 2013 - We had this with dinner last night, and it was wonderful. It was full of rich dark fruit, with a velvety texture, and finished with loads of sweet dark tobacco and rich fine tannins. Acidity was at a perfect level, and in balance with the other components. The key to enjoying this wine is a decant of several hours. I wish now that I had bought more...if this bottle is an indication, it's in its prime drinking window now. Delicious stuff.

Edited to add: upon perusing the other reviews of this wine on CT, it appears that the wine exhibits quite a bit of bottle-to-bottle variation. That mirrors our experience. We had another bottle of this wine about 6 weeks ago, and I would have given that one about 86-87 points, but we only decanted that one for a few minutes. The 92-pointer had a 3+ hour decant.
