January 29, 2023 - I really like the smooth layers of fruit in this one. You really catch the grape varieties in a good way.
November 5, 2022 - Lovely wine with such smoothness and clarity in the dark fruit. Bright and long with dark plum, leather and some smokiness in the finish. Fully integrated and no edgy tannins that i remember from earlier tastings.
June 11, 2022 - Dark brick color. Loads of dark fruit and pepper on the nose. Black currant, leather, some sweet balsamic notes, long and structured. I like it a lot.
June 11, 2021 - Drinking very well. Full body of dark fruit and i value the lack of traditional Syrah characteristics. This is mellow, aromatic, long and deep.
February 11, 2021 - Mellowed a lot in past years. Drink up, it is lovely now but i fear it will go down hill from here.
August 29, 2016 - Dark purple. Nose with black raspberry, black currant, green tobacco, spice, and forest floor. Palate is big but not overwhelming. Decent balance. A ripe and rich example of nero d'avola that is good but not great
April 6, 2016 - spicy and full bodied. Mellow on the mid palate with good structure and balance and a perfect companion to the cheese plate tonight.

December 25, 2013 - Dark and inky with notes of cherries and cedar. Still some present tannins adding to the full expression of spicy dark plum and tabacco that grows in the finish in a very pleasant way. It has all the componants but does not come together to score higher on the scale. it will last for another few years although i doubt it will score higher.
December 31, 2012 - Great full bodied dark brick colored wine; some anise on the nose, silky smooth tannins on the palate with a long finish
