October 13, 2022 - Nice but not great. Sour cherry and earth.

  • Neecies Does not like this wine:

September 3, 2021 - All acid, no fruit; dumped it.

December 23, 2017 - Very nice. Excellent balance and smooth tannins with beautiful berry notes. Drank it with my mom and my sister's family.

June 29, 2017 - Texas Wine School - Wines of Italy Class. Decanted for a several hours. This is a good, traditionally made Brunello, with ripe red fruit, black fruit, earth. The acidity is medium (+), the tannins are medium (+) and youthful and the alcohol is medium to medium (+) at (13.5%). This is a very well made and balanced wine, but I don't think it will reward further cellaring. Drink now through 2018. Very good, but nowhere near the 94 that WS gave it back in January of 2009.

March 10, 2017 - Nice color still but light. Strong raspberry and dried cherry on the nose. Definitely red fruit there. Very nice quaff. Not complex but pretty nice fruit finish with a tart bite. This was a value; bought on release but pretty sure it was <$30 a bottle. Great with a garlicky pasta
