September 19, 2015 - My first of two bottles about a year ago was flawed (massive Brett), but this was just delightful from the get go. Light in color, with intense cherry, raspberry, and flowers. As it breathed, more savory elements appeared--mushrooms, Asian spice. A very nice G-C VV.

February 3, 2011 - Floral and earthy notes on the nose - jasmine, moist soil, mushroom. Silky tannins, good acidity imparting a balanced sour cherry flavor along with some cola. Nice finish leaving a little sweetness behind on the palate. Very nice.

August 7, 2010 - Just not my style. I didn't much like this wine when in Beaune France and thought I would try it again but it's not for me.

Day two. I left a glass on the counter over night just covered with a cloth. This morning it was VERY good. I stand corrected in that it does show the same nuiances described by WIML and has potential. Still I'm not certain it will be one of my favorites but yet a very good wine. What I seem to be learning more and more about French wine is that time and air are key ingredients when evaluating the wine. I will now score 90.

    November 21, 2009 - A few Saturday afternoon tasting notes...11/21/2009: WIML91

Tasted November 21, 2009 at a retail tasting.

Garnet color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of smoke, black berries, black cherries and a bit of forest floor. Flavors of black berries, black cherries and a hint of red plum. Medium to bright acidity, medium to firm tannins, medium body. Drink now with some air or continue to hold. Best guess is WIML91.
