June 2, 2017 - Elegant medium body Barolo which is still a bit tannic, dark mature cherries, earth, notes of cocoa and Black current, Well balanced oak, smooth long aftertaste.

November 25, 2016 - I would not have believed what I am about to write if I had not personally experienced it. This wine from a Piedmont Nebbiolo tasting was accidentally left in a remote pocket of our wine bag corked for 2 weeks at room temperature with less than an inch of liquid. I thought, no way this 15 year old wine could be anything but undrinkably oxidized. Thankfully, I was almost completely wrong. Vivid opaque color with zero brick in a half inch pour with a strong aroma of black cherry. The sip exhibits the firm acidity and tannin that Nebbiolo is famous for achieving. The swallow, that normally features a mouth stripping grippy tannin, instead includes a surprising roundness and ample fruit. The only thing that even suggested a decline was a faint hint of tomato in the aromas that was not even stewed, but closer to the smell of tomato juice. Overall, an incredibly superb Barolo.

September 11, 2016 - Dry, firm, tannic with concentrated fruit; still young and not at all a modernistic showing, very classic (and classy) Barolo from a top vintage. years to go, but approachable.

August 15, 2016 - Medium to dark ruby, highly reduced nose with undertones of tar, rose peddle, cherry and hints of vanilla, tart and bright on the attack with red and dark fruit, teethy tannins and high acidity, finish is long but dominated by alcohol with dried cherry, earth, black tea and tropical hints

Update: two nights in the fridge and a Barolo emerges, even the color seems to have changed, much more like a 93-95, long life ahead
