February 10, 2019 - I probably like this more than it objectively merits. There’s a wonderful mushroom component, and it’s intensely earthy despite not being a particularly big wine. It’s mature, no doubt, but a great sense of balance and weight to it all. A hint of florals. I generally don’t love old rose, but I really like this.

May 13, 2012 - Still going. Gentle carbonation and tiny trickle of bubbles. Aromas & flavours of strawberry, rhubarb, marmalade, lemon peel, caramel, treacle and toffee. Nicely maderized but still showing faint fruit. Probably was at peak ~5 yrs ago but I like the maderized profile, so no loss to me. Decent finish (30 sec) of strawberry rhubarb crumble, and loads of minerality. Now to 2015.

May 7, 2005 - Beautiful copper colour in the glass. Some bubbles, but they are starting to fade. Aromas of fresh berries - currant, strawberry, - cream, lemon rind, caramel, cinnamon. Medium-full bodied, still somewhat lively in the mouth with red plums, berries, caramel. Moderate finish, 25-30s with red fruit, berries, and caramel. Drink now. A little disappointing.

January 30, 1999 - Lovely mature pelure d'oignon; strawberry and biscuit, lovely PN character; soft but refreshing, hint of sweetness; good length. Showing well but do not keep.
