January 31, 2016 - Love the classic aromas of dark fruit with tobacco, a little smoke, and a hint of menthol..... but of course I would because I love Arrowood. The fruit is a little dialed down compared to the '01 RS, but any note of wood is either gone or so well integrated it only enhances the nose. The palate is completely in sync with the nose and the tannins are imperceptible with just a wee bit of tartness from the acidity. Old school at it's best with a looooong finish and silky mouth feel. Down to 5 bottles left from the case. There's no reason to hold it any longer as it's reached a wonderful spot being completely resolved.

October 11, 2015 - Lots of fruit still present, and well integrated. Still dark red in color, with perhaps I slight hint of brown. Very enjoyable wine. Wish I had more bottles!

July 15, 2015 - The cork on this was almost completely shot, and a nubbin from the bottom had to be pushed into the bottle. However, the wine was in good shape. On the nose, menthol, earth, and strawberry. On the palate, black cherry, blackberry, menthol, and tobacco, with green herbal notes and no detectable tannins on the medium to long finish; there is enough acidity to keep this from being flabby, but it's fairly soft. An excellent aged Cabernet.

May 27, 2015 - LOVE this producer in the day…..20yr old wine from a classic vintage…..cellared since release….beautiful dark cherry color…perfect old school Cali cab nose…dried herbs, tobacco, licorice, creme de cassis, old cellar dust…..silky smooth and pure in the mouth…really quite youthful, still has a nice kick with the dusty and spicy tannin…but MAN…the age has polished this wine into a beauty! The perfect ripeness of dark berry fruit, still fresh, layered with complexities of flowers, crushed graphite, dried bing cherry, lead pencil…little menthol on this finish. Finesse…seamless purity…just a classic mouthful of Cabernet goodness….with plenty of fuel left in the tank! Brilliant!

April 4, 2015 - Good from start to finish. Tannins and fruit well integrated, but fruit fading...glad this my last bottle, probable near the end of its good window and this could fall off a cliff at any moment.
