May 9, 2019 - Drank well over a couple of days has years left in its window. I find this a little hot from a menthol sensation but there is no denying the beautiful fruit and stone. This wine is a bit rough, reminds me of a CdR

September 2, 2018 - Opened from a friend’s cellar. Have not drank one of these in almost 6 years. I thought the last bottle was in prime window to drink and yet it’s hanging right in there. Soy, creosote and pepper, all subtle but hanging around in the aromatic. The palate has a brushing of savory, with rosemary and tar. The fruit is black and red, mixing for a dark impression. Overall, this is still drinking fine yet I would say to enjoy these now. Enjoying the Novy memories.

September 1, 2016 - Still pretty dense coloring with ruby at the edges. Earthy, funk aromas lead the way, accented by dark fruits, black olive, cedar, dried spice drawer, dried meat, mineral, and a touch of floral. Medium body, acid, and finish, and flavors of dark and dark red fruits (mostly dark), earth, black olive, and charred green pepper like a sashido or poblano. Good stuff.

August 9, 2016 - Really good. Big, extracted, tarry, very interesting wine. Bought years ago for $15 from plcb.

December 6, 2015 - This wine is REALLY improving with age. It still needs air, as it is heavily extracted the cork was almost black. Enjoy after decanting for thirty minutes (at least). Big dark purple fruits, a little jam (which has declined seriously) and pine tar, sweet tobacco and maybe some toast developing Late in the flavor profile. This wine has years ahead of it. Ignore the 2015 date from CT.
